Visit Worthing Home > Tourism Business Section > Visit Worthing Partnership
Worthing First grew out of a desire to shake off a sense of apathy and lack of progress in the town. Many people inside and outside the business sector feel that Worthing has fallen behind competitors and is not doing as well as it should be given its location and proximity to Brighton and Chichester.
There is however, with the advent of Worthing First as the new local economic partnership, a growing sense of optimism and an opportunity to make a real difference.
The tourism sector has been a key component to the local economy for many years and much of Worthing's future regeneration will hinge on getting the towns approach to tourism right. As a result Worthing First and Worthing Borough Council have set up the Tourism Working Group, the Visit Worthing Partenrship. It is the intention of both that this group will become the lead forum for the forming, consultation and delivery of all future tourism policy within the borough.
The current leader is Keith Gallis of Theatrical Experience, who has a real passion for Worthing says "we are looking to expand the membership of this group to any business that has an interest in the sector. This includes hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars, attractions, language schools, event coordinators, leisure businesses etc.".
Membership fees start from just £40 per annum and include membership of Tourism South East as well as more local benefits. If you would like an application form or would like more information about becoming a member please contact:
