The South Downs to the North of the Borough is easily accessible (via Cissbury Ring, Highdown). It is already designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is applying for National Park status. It is not hard to understand why when you visit this wonderful part of the world either by foot, cycle or horseback.
