Last Call to Artists – Deadline Extended - Open 11 Art Competition

Do you need a little more time for your paint to dry, to put a last stitch in your textile, to glaze or polish your sculpture?

The deadline the submission of entry forms for the Open 11 Art Competition organised by Worthing Museum and Art Gallery has been extended. Deadline for submissions of entry forms is now Friday 3 June.

This year the three themes are:

•Food for Thought
•Sport and Fitness
•Celebrations  

Three independent selectors will help to choose the winners. For more details, find the form on the website.

Entry fee of £5 per work, £13 special rate for three entries per person, with reductions for concessions.

Prizes include FIT4 gym membership and art material tokens.

Emma Walder, exhibitions curator, said: "The Open Art Competition showcases the wealth of artistic talent in our local community, and brings together individuals and those belonging to the many Art Groups in West Sussex. This is your chance to network with like-minded people, and maybe scoop a prize!"

Exhibition opens 18 June until 24 September 2011.
