This hill is famous for its outstanding views across the Adur Valley. In spring and summer the hill is bursting with wild flowers and butterflies, including the rare Adonis Blue butterfly.
Mill Hill has a 500-metre easy access trail, which enables less mobile people to enjoy this site.
There are no steps or steep gradients on the trail and benches are located every 150 metres to provide plenty of resting places.

Road Directions

Mill Hill and the Downs lie to the north of the Shoreham by Pass (A27). However access is via A283 and Upper Shoreham Road, Erringham Road to Mill Hill and across the road bridge over the By-pass.

Public Transport Directions

Compass bus route 19 operates from Shoreham to Mill Hill Drive. Use Stagecoach bus routes 700 or 9 from Worthing to link to this route. Walk from bus stop over the bridge crossing the A27 and follow track to the view points and along the ridge of the Downs.
Nearest rail station is Shoreham by Sea (taxis are available) but walk of 2 miles or more.
